    Just received this as a gift for Christmas. What a wonderful surprise opening the box and finding this inside. The english muffins may only be 4 to a sleeve, but these muffins are each about 2" thick - easily enough to share one between two people (and better that way, too). My husband and I each had one, and it was like eating an entire meal we were so full. The muffins are very tasty and not dried out. Toasted up beautifully in our toaster oven; even split these might not fit into regular toaster slots so beware. The tart cherry preserves were delicious. Big, whole cherries with just enough zing. The basket the items came in was a gift itself. Nice and sturdy - not cheaply made with poor materials as you sometimes get with other vendors. I see other reviews note about haphazard appearance of their baskets, but ours arrived perfectly packed. I do wish that, as a gift item, a festive bow or something was either included or available to add. Superfluous yes, but this would have been the perfect finishing touch.

    We loved this gift so much that the next day we ordered the same thing as a gift for another family members who adores a good english muffin. As a newbie to H&D and Wolferman's, I certainly see us using both for more gift giving in the future. Excellent experience for this first time customer (and consumer)

    I had this basket sent to my house because I wanted to personally deliver it to one of my best clients. Thank the heavens that I did send it to my home. I opened up the box and there was the basket, and some stuffing paper, and four packages of muffins and the jam just thrown in the box, NOT ARRANGED IN THE BASKET. I would have been mortified if that had been delivered to my client that way. You should not charge for a gift basket, you should charge for stuff to make up a gift basket. I actually bought a nice cloth napkin to put in the basket to spruce it up a little. It should have at least had a ribbon or something. Never again!

      We often give catalog gifts a personal try-out before approving them for folks on our gift list. We're always looking for something new and that will be enjoyed by family members of all ages. We havent yet devoured all the contents in this gift basket, but were impressed enough after the first few to want to sent it again next Christmas (and perhaps even before, should another special occasion arise). The muffins are a sampler pack representing some yummiest Wolferman favorites. Preserves not too tart. which was a concern because we gernerally prefer strawberry preseves on our English muffins. With a cup of java we're good to go. The little basket enhanced the catalog presentation and helped sell us on trying it out,as we love all things wood; and, although made in China, our basket was nicely and sturdily crafted, and has already been recylced into our decor. It's big enough for thousands of practical uses, but I've claimed it already to hold the next six books I want to read. They fit perfectly!
